Kenya is East Africa’s most established safari destination. Its parks hold the Big Five across four distinct landscapes — the open grassland of the Masai Mara, the swamps and dust of Amboseli beneath Kilimanjaro, the red earth of Tsavo, and the arid north around Samburu, where species live that are found nowhere else in the country.
We plan and run safaris across all of them. Journeys depart from Nairobi, from Diani Beach and the Kenya coast, and range from a half-day in Nairobi National Park to nine days across seven parks. You can travel by private 4×4 with your own guide, fly in by light aircraft, or join a scheduled group departure.
What you see depends on where and when you go. The Mara holds Kenya’s densest populations of lion, cheetah and leopard, and receives the wildebeest migration from the Serengeti between roughly July and October. Amboseli is the most reliable place in East Africa to watch large elephant herds at close range. Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha bring rhino, flamingo and more than 400 bird species into a single short circuit.

Nairobi National Park – In its way, perhaps the most unique park in the world. Just minutes from downtown Nairobi see lions, leopards, buffalo, and giraffe in the wild. A true wildlife park… but with skyscrapers framing the scene!
Lake Nakuru National Park – This beautiful park boasts acacia forests, waterfalls, and lots of birdlife adorning the lake. But there’s also giraffe and endangered rhinos, protected in the sanctuary here.
Masai Mara National Reserve – When you’ve visited the Mara, you can say you’ve truly been on safari. Here you’ll find the densest number of lions in Kenya, and witness innumerable wildebeests and zebra during the Great Migration. Visit the local Maasai people and even take a balloon safari above the vast beauty of the park.
Amboseli National Park – known as the “Land of the Giants”, the park shows off giant Mt. Kilimanjaro and features great numbers of elephants. So many you’re guaranteed to see them, marching before the great, snow-capped mountain.
Ol Pejeta Wildlife Sanctuary – A stunningly versatile reserve that treats visitors to every kind of wildlife – from lions and leopards to rhinos and chimpanzees.
Samburu National Park – Home to the native Samburu people, who you can arrange to visit. You’ll find vast herds of elephants here and birdlife, plus rare African wild dogs.
Tsavo East & Tsavo West National Parks – These two are Kenya’s oldest and largest reserves – plenty of room for lots of elephants and the other Big Five wildlife.

Half-day and full-day safaris from Nairobi
Nairobi is the only capital city in the world with a national park inside its boundary. Nairobi National Park holds lion, buffalo, cheetah, rhino, giraffe and zebra within sight of the city skyline, and it is close enough to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to visit between flights.
These short trips suit travellers with a spare morning, a long layover, or a first day before a longer journey inland. They are the shortest safari we run, and the only one you can do without leaving the city.

2 Days Nairobi 4x4 Road Safaris
Two days covers one park properly — an afternoon game drive, a night in the bush, and a morning drive when the light is best and the predators are still moving. Ol Pejeta, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara are all within reach of Nairobi. It is the shortest trip that still gives you a genuine safari rhythm rather than a long drive.

Three days opens up the larger parks. Tsavo East and Tsavo West together cover more than 20,000 square kilometres of red-earth savannah, volcanic hills and spring-fed pools. Amboseli sits directly beneath Kilimanjaro, with the mountain clearest in the early morning and late afternoon.
Or spend all three days in the Masai Mara, where big cat sightings are most reliable and a longer stay lets you reach the quieter parts of the reserve.

Four days lets you combine two or three parks without spending the trip in transit. Mountains & Lakes Safari
7 & 8 Days 4x4 Road Nairobi Safaris
A week or more lets you cross Kenya’s ecological zones rather than sample one. These routes add Samburu in the arid north — home to reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra and gerenuk, none of which occur in the southern parks — and the highland forests of the Aberdares, alongside the Mara and the Rift Valley lakes.
Nairobi to the coast: safari, then beach
3 Days Nairobi to Diani beach Safaris
Start in Nairobi, finish on the coast. Three days gives you one or two parks on the way south, then the Madaraka Express train or a short flight to Diani. It suits travellers who want the safari first and the beach afterwards, without doubling back.
4 & 5 Days Nairobi to Diani beach Safaris
Four or five days lets you take in Amboseli and Tsavo, or the Mara and Amboseli, before reaching the coast. The extra day means dawn and dusk game drives in each park rather than a single afternoon.
6, 7 & 9 Days Nairobi to Diani beach Safaris
Six days and upward covers three to seven parks on a single southbound route, ending at the Indian Ocean. These are the fullest journeys we run in Kenya, and the ones where the landscape changes most — highland forest, Rift Valley lake, open savannah, then reef.

2 & 3 Days safaris from Diani beach
Already on the coast? Tsavo East and Tsavo West are a few hours inland, and two or three days is enough to see the red elephants and return to your hotel. These trips start and end at your resort.
4 & 5 Days safaris from Diani beach
Four or five days from Diani reaches deeper — Tsavo West, Amboseli and Tsavo East on one route, with Kilimanjaro visible on clear mornings. You return to the coast at the end rather than continuing to Nairobi.
Fly & Drive safaris from Diani beach
Flying removes the long drive between the coast and the Masai Mara. These journeys combine a light aircraft transfer with road game drives once you arrive, which means more time watching wildlife and less time covering ground. Two to six days, returning to Diani.
